CarrierIndex.org provides aggregated public motor carrier records from the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for informational and compliance research purposes. While we synchronize federal census, insurance, and enforcement datasets continuously, users should verify time-sensitive authority bindings directly with official FMCSA filings prior to binding commercial freight contracts.

2. Acceptable Use & API Access

Users may browse CarrierIndex.org freely and integrate our documented CarrierShield™ REST API endpoints in accordance with published rate limits. Automated denial-of-service attacks or abusive scraping outside documented API endpoints may be rate-limited to preserve platform availability.

3. Limitation of Liability

All public record data is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. CarrierIndex.org shall not be liable for any commercial dispatch, brokerage, or underwriting decisions made based on public federal census filings.
